Overview
Position Summary: The Strategy and Portfolio Manager will play a critical role in developing and leading strategic initiatives for the Hemostasis and Acute Care Diagnostics Business lines. Reporting to the Vice President of Worldwide Marketing & Service, the Strategy and Portfolio Manager will be responsible for driving key priorities, including strategic planning.
Responsibilities
Key AccountabilitiesStrategic Planning:

• Collaborate with the VP of Worldwide Marketing & Service and the Leadership team to develop the Strategic Plan for Hemostasis & Acute Care Diagnostics.
• Drive cross functional R&D strategic cycle and new product development process.
• Understand new product development process and its effect on the business.
• Continuously evaluate and improve portfolio strategy and prioritization process to drive business improvement and innovation.
• Lead the development and execution of strategic projects within the Hemostasis and Acute Care Diagnostics areas.Portfolio Management:
  • Collaborate with leadership from Marketing, R&D, and Medical Affairs to establish product roadmaps, new technology development strategies and investment opportunities through:
  • Evaluate new product opportunities, in collaboration with BD, Marketing, R&D, and Medical.
  • Standardize and scale best practices and learnings.
  • Drive inter-departmental collaboration initiatives.Networking/Key relationships
    • Build and maintain relationships with R&D, Medical Affairs, pharma companies, mar keting teams, commercial organizations, and finance departments.
      Qualifications
      Minimum Knowledge & Experience Required for the Position:
      • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or Scientific discipline required.
      • Master of Business Administration (MBA) and/or PhD in Life Sciences highly desired.
      • Minimum of 5 years of work experience in strategic marketing or business development activities, alliance management and execution of strategy projects (preferably from an in-vitro diagnostics or pharma perspective) required.
      • Management has the discretion of substituting relevant work experience for a degree and/or making exceptions to the years of experience requirement.Skills & Capabilities:
        • Excellent leadership skills: ability to lead and influence at various levels and functions of the organization through strong interpersonal and communication skills.
        • Ability to successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously.
        • Big-picture vision and the drive to make that vision a reality; highly creative; self-driven
        • Organizational Savvy: Experience working in a highly matrixed environment.

Effective communicators. People who can interpret information clearly and accurately to concisely communicate results and recommendations to stakeholders.
