Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Customer Success
Engineer with a strong background in computational chemistry to
join our client's growing team. In this role, you will play a
critical role in driving the success of the cutting-edge materials
simulation platform by:
* Developing and implementing novel computational chemistry
methodologies.
* Providing expert technical support and guidance to customers.
* Collaborating closely with product development and research
teams.
* Representing the company at industry events and conferences.
Integrating deep learning models into physical simulations, the
scalable SaaS platform provides simulation methods and case
validations on the behavior of materials at the atomic level.
These atomic-level simulations model the behavior of atoms and
molecules within materials, allowing researchers to understand and
predict their properties during the development phase of new
materials and elucidate their mechanisms.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited
to:
Research & Development:
* Develop and implement advanced computational chemistry methods,
including but not limited to:
o Molecular dynamics
o Monte Carlo simulations
o Reaction pathway analysis
o Metadynamics
o Quantum chemistry calculations
* Conduct independent and collaborative research projects with
academic and industrial partners.
* Publish research findings in peer-reviewed journals and present
at scientific conferences.
* Develop and maintain case studies and tutorials to showcase the
capabilities of our platform.
Customer Success:
* Lead customer success meetings to understand their specific
research challenges and goals.
* Propose and discuss the most effective simulation strategies and
workflows tailored to their needs.
* Provide expert technical support and guidance to customers on
using our platform effectively.
* Collaborate with customers to solve complex scientific
problems.
Pre-Sales & Business Development:
* Conduct technical presentations and demonstrations to potential
customers.
* Identify and address customer needs and pain points.
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with potential
clients.
* Represent the company at industry events and conferences to build
brand awareness and generate leads.
Product Development:
* Act as a liaison between customers and the product development
team.
* Provide valuable feedback on product features and functionalities
based on customer needs and market trends.
* Advocate for customer-centric product improvements.
Other Duties:
* Participate in internal team meetings and contribute to the
overall success of the company.
* Stay abreast of the latest advancements in computational
chemistry and materials science.
Qualifications:
Education: Master's or Ph.D. in Physics, Chemistry, or Materials
Science; or an equivalent combination of education and
experience.
Experience: Strong background in computational chemistry methods
(e.g., molecular dynamics, Monte Carlo, quantum chemistry).
Technical Skills:
* Programming: Strong proficiency in Python programming.
* Computational Chemistry (One or more):
o Experience in computational chemistry methods such as:
- Quantum chemistry calculations
-Molecular dynamics simulations
- Classical force field calculations
- Monte Carlo methods
- Reaction pathway search calculations
- Crystal structure search calculations
o OR
o Data analysis skills using machine learning and statistical
analysis tools (e.g., NumPy, pandas, scikit-learn)
Other:
* Flexibility: Ability to occasionally accommodate and attend
meetings early morning or late evening to collaborate with teams in
Asia and Europe.
* Travel: Willingness to travel for client meetings, conferences,
and industry events.
Preferred:
* Writing Experience: Topics related to physical simulation in
cheminformatics or materials informatics.
* Proficiency: Atomic Simulation Environment (ASE), LAMMPS,
GAUSSIAN, VASP, etc.
