Title: Full-Stack AI Integrations EngineerSalary: $130,000 - 150,000Location: RemoteContact: Paul Chatlos, pchatlos@smithhanley.comOverviewWe're seeking a Full-Stack AI Integrations Engineer to join the team building our interactive video application.We develop innovative ways to understand and engage with video content through unique AI-propelled viewer interactions and analytics. We work with some of the largest media and technology companies in the world (Paramount, NBC Universal, Amazon, Disney, Roku, etc.) to help them better connect their content and brands with their audiences.As a Full-Stack AI Integrations Engineer you'll work in a distributed team to prototype and implement new features driven by third-party AI tools and models, evaluate integrations for quality and consistency, and explore & experiment with emerging multi-modal AI capabilities as a subject matter expert. Proficiency with Javascript and engineering production-ready integrations is key. We value creativity, independence, and a passion for writing clean, maintainable code that aligns with product and user needs.Our Tech Stack:--- Front-end: Svelte, SvelteKit--- Back-end: Node.js--- Cloud: Google Cloud--- Databases: Firestore, Elasticsearch--- DevOps: Docker, Terraform, CypressQualifications:

  • Strong familiarity with AI services landscape and emerging third-party AI services across modalities and their potential applications.
  • Deep understanding of OpenAI's models and API offerings (function calling, assistants, evaluations, fine tuning), including experience with the nuances of prompting.
  • Experience with a variety of other services & models such as Google Gemini, Anthropic Claude, Llama, Mixtral, etc., and understanding of the differences is expected.
  • Expertise in Retrieval Augmented Generation techniques leveraging embeddings and vector databases.
  • Ability to integrate AI services into products effectively, translating AI knowledge into practical backend/full-stack implementations.
  • Expertise in TypeScript/Javascript and Node.JS.
  • Expertise developing third-party service integrations.
  • Experience with NoSQL databases and backend service design.
