Technical Sales Representative - Analytical InstrumentationWe
are seeking a dynamic Technical Sales Representative for analytical
instrumentation primarily used in R&D laboratories. This
full-time position involves covering areas in NJ, NY, and New
England, ideally for candidates based in the Boston area, though
consideration will be given to those near major airports. Perfect
for professionals passionate about capital equipment sales in the
scientific sector, ready to engage with a variety of clients and
enhance their R&D capabilities effectively.Salary: $86,000 to
$97,000 per yearEssential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Drive sales of high-quality analytical instrumentation across
assigned territories.
- Build and maintain relationships with new and existing clients
to understand their research and development needs.
- Deliver compelling presentations to a diverse audience of
technical experts and decision-makers.
- Work closely with the technical support team to ensure customer
satisfaction and resolve any issues with instrument
applications.
- Manage account services through quality checks and other
follow-up activities.
- Prepare sales reports and keep customer records
up-to-date.
- Continuously update job knowledge by participating in
educational opportunities, reading professional publications, and
participating in professional organizations.Minimum Position
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of proven experience in the sales of capital equipment
or analytical instruments.
- Strong ability in written and oral communication, along with
exemplary presentation skills.
- Self-motivated with a robust commitment to customer service and
satisfaction.
- Bachelor's degree in natural sciences, engineering, or related
field.
- Must be available for frequent overnight travel, approximately
50-60% of the time.
- Valid driver's license and passport.Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with analytical instrumentation in a laboratory
setting.
- Familiarity with the latest trends, technologies, and
methodologies in laboratory research.Skills:
- Exceptional negotiation and sales skills.
- Effective time management and organizational skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Technical proficiency with database systems and MS Office.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a
