Vice President of Engineering - StreamingBally's Corporation is a global casino-entertainment company with a growing omni-channel presence. It currently owns and manages 15 casinos across 10 states, a golf course in New York, a horse racetrack in Colorado, and has access to OSB licenses in 18 states. It also owns Bally's Interactive International, formerly Gamesys Group, a leading, global, online gaming operator, Bally Bet, a first-in-class sports betting platform, and Bally Casino, a growing iCasino platform.With 10,600 employees, the Company's casino operations include approximately 15,300 slot machines, 580 table games and 3,800 hotel rooms. Bally Live is a free live streaming app that allows sports fans to engage with their favorite events in real-time while fostering interactive fan communities and earning rewards for activities. Stadium, a joint venture between Bally's and Silver Chalice (owned by Jerry Reinsdorf, who also owns the Chicago Bulls and White Sox), is a free advertising-supported streaming (FAST) sports network distributed through partners such as Samsung TV Plus, Amazon Fire TV and Prime Video, Tubi, YouTube TV, and Fubo TV. Sports and events that Bally Live and Stadium broadcast include Minor League Baseball, Savannah Bananas, GLORY kickboxing, AVP Beach Volleyball as well as betting shows.Well, what about the team?We are seeking an entrepreneurial Vice President of Engineering who has a track of building successful and innovative consumer digital products across multiple platforms. The VP of Engineering will lead all technical operations for Bally Live and Stadium, including consumer app and web engineering, backend engineering, video and broadcast engineering, and Infrastructure. You will play a critical role in the company's growth by building, scaling, and optimizing our technology platform to deliver seamless streaming and interactive experiences to our users. This role requires a blend of strategic leadership, technical expertise, and operational excellence. A successful VP of Engineering will lead with data and insights, obsess about customer needs in their decision-making, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teammates to deliver complete product experiences that both delight our users and drive outcomes for the business.So, what will you be doing?

• Developing and executing the overall engineering strategy to align with company goals and product priorities
• Leading and mentoring a distributed engineering team across various disciplines
• Staying up to date with emerging technologies in streaming, video engineering, and cloud infrastructure to drive innovation and ensure our platform remains competitive
• Overseeing the design, architecture, and development of all technology platforms, including web, apps, video streaming systems, backend services, adtech, and broadcast infrastructure
• Ensuring the implementation of best practices in modern software engineering, DevOps, cloud infrastructure, and cybersecurity
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to align engineering priorities with strategic goals and develop new features
• Guiding engineering teams through dynamic development cycles while balancing rapid innovation with platform stability
• Implementing processes for continuous monitoring, quality assurance, and incident management for video delivery at scaleAnd what are we looking for?
  • Have 10+ years of engineering experience to deliver high-scale consumer digital products and video streaming platforms for over a decade
  • Have 5+ years of experience in leading and building high-performing, cross-functional engineering teams in the streaming, media, or related tech industries
  • Be passionate about sports, streaming technology, gaming, and/or digital advertising industries
  • Know web and app technologies, backend systems, and have experience building video products on connected TV devices (e.g. Roku, Amazon Fire TV, Samsung TV)
  • Be experienced with infrastructure automation, DevOps, and modern software development practices
  • Possess a deep understanding of video encoding, CDN optimization, cloud-based architectures, and microservices
