Requires a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field. Required to have previously used CAD (SolidWorks and Creo). Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required within a reasonable period of time. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.As a mechanical engineer for the Sonar and Sensors business area, you'll be a member of a cross functional team responsible for designing, building, and testing a precision maneuvering thruster for use on submarine platforms. Design of electro-mechanical systems capable of surviving harsh environmental conditions (shock, vibration, temperature); Proficiency utilizing CAD tools to create 3D models and drawings for technical data packages that meet ASME Y14.Experience performing structural and thermal analyses to meet submarine environmental requirements. Advanced proficiency with modeling CAD tools to create mechanical models and drawings Extensive knowledge of manufacturing and fabrication methods, as well as technical, government, and industry standards Collaborative, creative thinker with experience leading complex projects with successful outcomes Exceptional communication skills with experience writing technical papers and proposals Commitment to ongoing professional development for yourself and others Our Commitment to You: An exciting career path with opportunities for continuous learning and development.
