the world.KAYAK is looking for an AGC to join our small yet dynamic
legal team! Leading all aspects of commercial transactions,
privacy, intellectual property, and regulatory compliance, this
role will be in a position to influence our travel innovation
across all business operations.Beyond providing legal counsel,
you'll collaborate with cross-functional teams, applying your
interpersonal skills, business judgment, and strategic insight to
drive complex projects and serve as a key legal advisor, making a
lasting impact on our organization.This role is required to work
from our office in Concord, MA at least 2 days per week.In this
role, you will:
- Advise the General Counsel, executive leadership, and key
stakeholders with proactive, actionable legal counsel
- Improve the Legal & Compliance team through strategic
leadership, legal operations and team performance optimization, and
culture-building programs
- Address legal issues and internal requests with timely,
effective solutions
- Counsel teams on laws, regulations, and legal risks affecting
the company and its platform
- Own the privacy & security legal framework and program
vision
- Manage outside counsel
- Provide employment law guidance to the HR team
- Train employees on legal matters and company policies
- Lead additional projects as assignedPlease apply if you have:
- 10-12 years of relevant legal experience with ability to work
both independently and with a team, including a minimum of 3 years
in-house experience
- Expertise in complex litigation and consumer protection
matters
- Ability to simplify nuanced legal issues into clear, digestible
language
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Passion for strategic legal operations leadership with proven
experience
- Extensive experience advising e-commerce companies serving
consumers
- Preferred experience counseling companies with international
operations
- Effective communication skills, sound business judgment,
critical thinking, and strong work ethic; encourages collaboration
and embraces adaptability
- Ability to collaborate across teams and manage multiple complex
projects under tight timelines
- Experience handling domestic and international regulatory
matters
- Familiarity with U.S. and international privacy laws is a
plus
- A reputation for taking the law seriously, but not

go into determining a salary range, including but not limited to
external market benchmark data, geographic location, and years of
experience sought/required. The range for this remote United States
based role is $250,000-300,000.00.In addition to a competitive base
salary, roles are eligible for additional compensation and benefits
