Maintain client files to ensure they are properly organized and up to date
Divide marital assets, including real estate, when necessary during divorce proceedings
Advocate on behalf of clients by understanding their needs, effectively analyzing the situation and forming a strategy for a plan of action
Prepare legal documents such as legal pleadings, motions, marital settlement agreements, contracts, judgments, and orders for a high volume of cases

Key Responsibilities:Represent clients with confidence and professionalism in court hearings, mediations, depositions, and negotiations.Draft comprehensive legal documents, including pleadings, motions, marital settlement agreements, and judgments for a variety of family law cases.Manage sensitive and high-stakes matters such as divorce, child custody, child support, and domestic violence cases.Develop customized legal strategies to meet each client's unique needs and goals.Divide marital assets, including real estate, during divorce proceedings.Maintain organized, up-to-date client files and provide exceptional communication to keep clients informed throughout the process.Qualifications:Undergraduate degree with a legal background and Juris Doctor degree required
Prior work or studies in criminal justice preferred
Experience at a legal firm working on family law and real estate issues (determining marital property) for at least 1-2 years is required
Active member of the ABA (American Bar Association)
Candidates should be great negotiators and communicators, specifically in situations when emotions and stress are high

What We're Looking For:Experience: At least 3 years of family law experience, handling matters such as divorce, custody, and domestic violence.Empathy and Composure: Ability to work effectively in emotional, high-stress situations while maintaining a client-centered approach.Negotiation Skills: Strong communication and negotiation skills to advocate for clients in and out of court.Knowledge Base: Familiarity with Massachusetts family law, including property division and spousal support.
