is responsible for building microservice cloud infrastructure and
data collection software. Our team built a highly scalable
containerized gRPC microservices platform and micro-frontends web
applications. We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced
Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer to ensure the quality and
reliability of our software products built on modern technical
stack. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in
software testing methodologies and passion for delivering
exceptional products to end-users.Please note that pursuant to a
government contract, this specific position requires US citizenship
status.Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Responsibilities:
- Develop and Execute Test Plans:
- Design, develop, and implement comprehensive test plans and
test cases.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance
testing.
- Automation Testing:
- Create and maintain automated test scripts using tools like
Jest or Jasmine or Mocha or similar.
- Perform functional, regression, Integration, and performance
testing.
- Bug Identification and Reporting:
- Identify, document, and the track software defects using issues
tracking tools like JIRA.
- Work closely with the development team to reproduce and resolve
issues.
- Quality Assurance Processes:
- Participate in requirement reviews to provide input on
testability and quality risks.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and best
practices.
- Collaboration:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers
product managers and other team members.
- Provide feedback and recommendations to improve product quality
and user experience.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Stay up to date with emerging trends and technologies in
software testing.
- Suggest improvements to existing testing processes and
tools.Must be able to obtain a Secret ClearancePreferred Education,
Experience, & Skills Experience:
- 3+ years of experience in software quality assurance and
testing.
- Strong understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and
processes.
- Experience with both manual and automated testing.
- Experience with Dockers, Kubernetes cluster, Helm charts,
Ingress, and containers.
- Technical skills:
- Proficient with the test automation tools such as Selenium,
WebDriver, Jest or Jasmine or Mocha or similar.
- Familiarity with programming languages like Python JavaScript
react next.js.
- Experience with version control systems particularly
GitLab.
- Knowledge of CI/CD tools like GitLab CI/CD or Jenkins.
- Understanding of web technologies
- Understanding of GRPC and micro services
- Soft skills:
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Adaptable and eager to learn new technologies.
- Preferred qualifications:
- Experience and testing microservices and distributed
systems.
- Familiarity with performance testing tools like JMeter or
roadrunner
- Experience with agile/scrum methodologies.
- Certification in software testingPay InformationFull-Time
Salary Range: $112420 - $191070Please note: This range is based on
our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are
determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to:
business considerations, local market conditions, and internal
equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills,
