  • Behavioral Health Float Pool Psych RN - 36hrs. Days/Eves/Nights Rotate & EOW
  • This position will float to various mental health units throughout the hospital (Pedi, Adult & Geri Psych).
  • 2 years minimum experience required.
  • Trauma informed, patient-centered, and verbally capable of de-escalating patients.
  • Proficient in using automatic medication dispensing system (Omni Cell); proficient in electronic health records documentation, preferably EPIC; proficient in the use of psychotropic medications and side effects.
  • Able to assume the role of charge nurse. Able to complete admissions and discharges.
  • Competent in the use of IV pumps; competent in care of a diabetic patient.
  • Unit specific clinician to patient ratio: Pedi Psych is 1 to 3. Adult & Geri Psych is 1:7 or 8.
  • Patient Population: Children Ages 3-17, Adults 18 - 65, and Geriatric Adults 66+.
  • Floating Required: Yes, to all behavioral health areas within the Epstein Units and AMHU.
  • Rotating Shifts Required: Yes, for Day Rotate (7a-7p, 11a-11p & 7p-7a). Rotation not required for Night Shift.

          • AVADE training offered on-site as well as lead EKG training.
          • Knowledge of the Massachusetts Department of Mental Health rules and regulations.
