Job Description:

Atrium Health is seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our Interventional Radiology team. As an Interventional Radiology Technologist, you will play a critical role in assisting physicians with various invasive Angio and interventional procedures.Responsibilities include:

• Performing specialized radiography and fluoroscopic coverage of interventional and angiographic procedures under the direction of a physician.
• Explaining procedures to patients and preparing them for the procedure.
• Obtaining medications, radiopharmaceuticals, or contrast materials as directed for administration by a licensed practitioner, authorized/certified technologist, or registered nurse.
• Circulating during the procedure and maintaining responsibility for patient comfort.
• Providing supplies necessary for diagnostic and therapeutic invasive procedures.
• Removing catheters/sheaths and applying direct pressure or clamp as appropriate.
• Providing necessary report information to the holding area or nursing unit as needed.
• Recording and processing hemodynamic reports, contrast media records and charges promptly and accurately.
• Entering patient data and inventory into WITT program and sending films for review.
• Communicating equipment malfunctions to leadership or department engineer for repairs.Requirements include:
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Completion of an ANA accredited Radiologic Technologist Program or completion of an accredited Radiology Interventional Program required.
  • BLS HCP certification from AHA required.
  • RTR required.
