Johnson is currently seeking an Associate Director, Therapy
Awareness to join our Abiomed team located in the Northeast of the
United States. This is a field-based role available in the
Northeast. While specific cities are listed in the Locations
section for reference, please note that they are examples only and
do not limit your application.The Associate Director, Therapy
Awareness will be responsible for leading a team of Therapy
Awareness Managers in the development, planning, and implementation
of educational and marketing engagements within their customer
groups and within a large geography scope. This position will
provide guidance and support for the development of new
relationships within the cardiovascular space along with the
development of new educational opportunities that align with
programmatic goals and objectives. The individual will report
directly to the U.S. Director of Therapy Awareness.This position
must reside in the Northeast.Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and lead a team of Therapy Awareness Managers on the
execution of high-impact Therapy Awareness education programs, and
establish an understanding of referral dynamics and coach teams to
create area-specific strategies to promote disease state awareness
and appropriate patient identification.
- Possess strong leadership skills and build a high-performing,
motivated and engaged team while developing individual talent and
managing performance.
- Lead team on utilization of multiple data platforms to develop
and execute quarterly Plan of Actions.
- Connect Internal and External stakeholders to drive education
and awareness strategies geared toward systematically eliminating
barriers to further adoption of Impella as a treatment option for
CAD and HF patients.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional business partners, to
include members of the field leadership and global healthcare
solutions teams, to develop and execute scalable programs, and
develop strong strategy to complement ongoing field
activities.
- Develop metrics and communicate results of initiatives/pilots
to make data-backed decisions on our therapy development programs
and bring best practices to the national team; make programs
scalable and repeatable.
- Provide clinical expertise, grow national network of education
champions, and plan and execute regional and national therapy
awareness programs.
- Collaborate to refine messaging and develop appropriate therapy
awareness materials and collateral, leading projects and
initiatives designed to shape the therapy awareness program.
- Effective and timely management of process-related items
including monthly reports, action plans, expense reporting, and
Sales Force and other reporting responsibilities.
- Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work
environment. Must possess strong organizational skills, attention
to detail, be able to meet tight deadlines, and have ability to
cross collaborate and effectively prioritize time with minimal
supervision.
- Performs other duties and special projects as assigned by the
Director.Job Requirements:
- Must have BA/BS; Advanced degree strongly preferred.
- Minimum 7+ years of leadership experience plus > 10 or more
successful years of market/business development experience within
medical device or cardiac pharmaceutical field or cardiology
specific business development role; prior people management
experience can replace years of job specific experience.
- Have expert understanding of all related aspects of developing
and executing therapy awareness and education strategies for
advanced treatment therapies.
- Must have experience and contacts in the cardiovascular space
with strong clinical and business acumen, as well as experienced
presentation skills.
- Demonstrated desire to attain the position and must be able to
travel overnight extensively.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills along with
abilities to utilize software applications for analytics,
organization and talent development.The anticipated base pay range
for this position is $140,000. The Company maintains a highly
competitive sales incentive compensation program. Under current
guidelines, this position is eligible for participation in this
program in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan.This
position is eligible for a company car allowance.Benefit
