Job Description Because this role involves a combination of
collaborative/in-person and independent work, it will take the form
of a hybrid work format, with time split between working onsite and
remotely.For this position, we could consider someone working out
of any one for the major Electronic System BAE System locations:
Austin TX, Endicott NY, Fort Wayne IN, Greenlawn NY, Huntsville AL,

strategic and thought leadership to Project, Program, and Portfolio
Management for the ES Sector with annual sales of approximately $7B
and over 600 program managers. With our robust offering of

limitless.This role within the Px team will provide strategic
leadership of Program Management Process, Tools, and Measures for
the ES Sector. This includes the following responsibilities:
- Provide oversight and management to existing program management
processes and best practices to meet the needs of the ES Sector to
improve and streamline all facets of program management while
minimizing wastes such as defects, excess processing, over
production, and waiting.
- Serve as the ES Px expert on Lifecycle Management and Program
Management process and tailoring.
- Serve as the main point of contract for the Program Management
function for internal/external audits.
- Provide thought and execution leadership to the development and
deployment of tool sets to automate and/or error proof Program
Management administrative tasks.
- Review and analyze Sector level Program Management performance
trends against industry benchmarks and suggest continuous
improvements for the Program Management function to the Senior Px
Director and other ES Business Leaders.
- Support cross-sector and BAE Systems, Inc. program management
initiatives.Because of the potential need to access export
controlled and other restricted data, this specific position
requires US citizenship status.Required Education, Experience, &
Skills
- Proven leadership experience of a team, project, and/or
initiative with a demonstrated ability to make decisions amidst
uncertainty using recognized business acumen principles.
- Substantial prior experience leading Root Cause Corrective
Action exercises to determine TRUE root cause(s) of a defect or
suboptimal outcome and subsequent preventative/corrective actions
to prevent reoccurrence.
- Demonstrated ability in guiding change management (especially
cultural change) to work across a variety of functions, cultures,
sites, geographic regions, and levels of management to deliver
results to the business.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with experience
presenting to senior leaders and customers in an accurate, concise,
and understandable manner.
- Knowledge of BAE Systems corporate and ES processes such as the
Operational Framework, Lifecycle Management, AS9100, and CMMI.
- Proficient in conducting data collection, analysis, reporting,
and briefing to support process, tools, and measures recommended
changes and new implementations.
- Strong coaching and mentoring skills to facilitate knowledge
transfer of a subject or topic.
- Good understanding of BAE Systems' matrixed organization,
manufacturing facilities and the Product Lifecycle within the BAE
Systems' environment.
- Time management and prioritization skillsPreferred Education,
Experience, & Skills
- 10 years of aerospace and/or defense experience
- Master's degree
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification or
equivalent certification
- Lean Six Sigma Black Belt training or equivalentPay
InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $150370 - $255630Please note:
This range is based on our market pay structures. However,
individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors
including, but not limited to: business considerations, local
market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate
qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience. Employee
