Job Description:
Vnfen's Community Behavioral Health Center (CBHC) operates a
Mobile Crisis Intervention (MCI) team that supports children,
youth, and adults in the community. The Clinical Supervisor has
experience and expertise in evaluating, assessing, and supporting
children and youth in crisis, and their families. This position
includes the responsibility of supporting the Program Director with
the management and supervision of the MCI Team whose role is to
respond to the needs of a youth and their family during a youth's
psychiatric crisis. YMCI responds to families in "real time," in
the community, assesses youth for immediate safety needs,
determines service needs, facilitates connections to other services
designed to assist the youth/family, and provides short-term
intensive clinical services to stabilize the youth.The position
also works closely with the Community Crisis Stabilization Program
Director and Assistant Program Director on referrals, admissions,
and coordination for youth at CCS level of care.Job Duties and
Responsibilities:The essential job duties/responsibilities of the
position include but are not limited to the information listed
below:
- Hires, onboards, trains, and supervises clinical and
non-clinical/paraprofessional staff for the MCI team, with
consideration for the program budget, as well as programmatic
needs.
- Ensures adequate staffing for 24/7/365 coverage.
- Holds primary responsibility for the management and deployment
of MCI staff in the community based upon need.
- Ensures linkage and coordination to community-based treatment
options to minimize the need for out of home, more restrictive
placements.
- Supervises Master's Level Clinicians, Bachelor's Level
Counselors, and Family Partners.
- Serves as the Administrator on-call to support staff doing
triage.
- Travels to client homes and/or a community setting to evaluate
youth and adults who are experiencing an emotional/behavioral
crisis.
- Facilitates team, inter-departmental, or cross-organizational
meetings.
- Ensures development and training is provided to all program
employees.
- Participates in MCI program leadership meetings with CBHCs/CCS
on clinical and administrative issues.
- Functions as a key contact for state agencies, payers, and
other stakeholders.
- In collaboration with the CBHC Quality Director, develops and
monitors key performance indicators (KPIs) for example, volume of
initial and follow up evaluations, direct admissions, and monitors
compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements. Implements
performance improvements when needed.

- Master's degree in social work, psychology or other related
field required.
- Independent Clinical License (LICSW, LMFT, or LMHC) required in
the state of Massachusetts.
- A minimum of five years in progressively responsible human
services functions preferably in a behavioral health acute,
sub-acute or residential 24/7 treatment settings, of which at least
2 years have been in supervisory roles.
- Experience using evidenced-based practices in a short-term
therapeutic milieu setting.
- Experience providing supervision and coaching to clinical and
non-clinical staff.
- Knowledge of state agencies including DDS and DMH.
- Skilled in working within a multi-disciplinary team model
inclusive of medical staff to serve clients with medical
co-morbidities, such as diabetes or asthma.
- Skilled in the provision of brief treatment and crisis
interventions.
- Practices cultural humility in the care of individuals and
families.
- Experienced in the use of formal and informal assessment
practices.
- Familiar with managed care practices and medical necessity
criteria.
- Experienced in the use of empowerment and self-advocacy
techniques.
- Knowledge of available community resources and alternative
levels of care.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Experienced with telehealth technologies.
- Proven ability to work in a professional and confidential
capacity.
- Must be able to successfully pass a multistate CORI, SORI,
reference check, employment verification, education, and
