Senior Engineering Program Manager

Our client seeks a driven and experienced Senior Engineering Program Manager to lead cross-functional teams in a fast-paced product development environment. This customer-facing role combines technical expertise and project management to deliver innovative solutions.

The position also supports the PMO by contributing to project management best practices.

Project Management

Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables with stakeholders. Develop and manage project plans, schedules, resources, and budgets.


Cross-Functional Leadership

Lead engineering, design, and technical teams to ensure collaboration and alignment. Foster a culture of teamwork and open communication.


Risk Management

Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies. Monitor progress and provide updates to stakeholders.


Stakeholder Engagement

Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders. Communicate status, expectations, and risks to diverse audiences.


Proposal and Planning Support

Create compelling, technically detailed proposals. Develop project plans and estimates.


Education

Bachelor's degree in engineering (electrical or software preferred). Advanced degree, PMP certification, or MBA is a plus.


Experience

10+ years in engineering, with 5+ years in project management or leadership. Experience with complex electro-mechanical systems and manufacturing. Medical device or DoD program experience is a plus.



Technical Skills

Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, JIRA, SharePoint). Familiarity with development methodologies (waterfall, agile). Knowledge of electrical, software, and mechanical design integration.



Soft Skills

Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal abilities. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Effective under pressure, managing multiple priorities.
