Job Description:

Nitsch Engineering is looking for a Structural Engineer to join our team in one of our three Massachusetts offices in Boston, Lawrence, or Worcester!Responsibilities

• Utilize structural and CAD software during preliminary and final design
• Complete independent structural calculations and studies
• Prepare preliminary and final plans, specifications, and estimates
• Provide construction administration services
• Perform bridge inspections
• Perform structural analysis and prepare load rating calculations and reports for highway and rail bridges
• Prepare design documents of bridge structures, retaining walls, culverts, utilities, concrete slabs and walls, traffic equipment, and any other structural related items
• Assist with project management tasks, as neededRequirements
• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with a Structural focus
• Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) in Massachusetts or ability to obtain MA PE within one year if licensed in another state
• 5-10 years of relevant design experience
• Strong knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D; familiarity with STAAD, MDX, AASHTOWare Bridge Rating, and Bentley's LEAP Bridge Enterprise preferred
