Tenure Track Assistant Professor of Accounting (2025-2026)Salary
Range: $112,000 - $120,000Job Description: The Barney School of
Business seeks a Tenure-track Assistant Professor of Accounting
with teaching, research, and service responsibilities. Successful
candidates are expected to teach accounting information systems and
a variety of other accounting courses depending on
need.Responsibilities:The Barney School offers face-to-face day and
evening classes as well as asynchronous classes. The teaching load
for the position is 3-3. Faculty course loads generally represent a
combination of both graduate and undergraduate courses. Faculty
should be prepared to teach in both online and face-to-face
modalities depending on course coverage requirements. Faculty are
expected to meet and maintain the Scholarly Academic classification
under AACSB -International accreditation requirements by engaging
in scholarly research. In addition to teaching and research,
faculty must also participate in Departmental, School and
University service, and interact with the Greater Hartford Region
business community. This is not a remote position. There will also
be opportunities to teach in our innovative University
Interdisciplinary Studies program. Applicants should describe in
their letter of intent how their teaching and/or scholarship will
support inclusive excellence at the University of Hartford, in the
Barney School of Business, and in the community.Required
