In this role, you will collaborate with finance and accounting leads to manage daily accounting operations and ensure compliance with financial standards. Team Mission Metric: --- Be Accountable--- Put People First--- Do Well While Doing Good Essential functions:--- Oversee general ledger functions, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close processes while ensuring compliance with accounting standards, policies, and practices.--- Assist with preparation and analysis of monthly financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP.--- Manage fixed asset accounting, lease accounting, prepaid expenses, and accruals.--- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance financial reporting and operational efficiency.--- Monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure reporting integrity.--- Support external audits by preparing reconciling schedules and responding to inquiries.--- Play an active role in accounting for acquisitions, including integration and reporting.--- Other ad hoc projects, analysis, and requests as necessary.Supervisory Responsibilities:--- No supervision responsibilities. Required Education, Experience, and Skills:--- Strong understanding of financial software--- Experience working in a multi-location or branch/store based business preferred--- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills--- Highly skilled in math, accounting and financial processes--- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate with teams across the entire organization--- Excellent oral and written communication skills, presentation skills, and time management skills.--- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.--- Detail oriented and highly organized--- Skilled in time management and the ability to prioritize tasks--- Excellent critical thinking skills--- Strong knowledge of GAAP and applicable regulations--- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field--- At least 5 years' experience in accounting--- CPA or CMA preferred Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:--- Must be able to speak, write, read and understand English--- Must have visual and hearing acuity--- Performs duties in an office environment--- Must be able to function in a wide variety of environments which may involve exposure to allergens and other various conditions--- Able to travel to company locations as neededAt Lifeway Mobility, we care about our employees' well-being.
